 Winemaker’s comments Deep maroon, crimson and magenta hues. A lifted spice and herb aroma. Rosemary fragrance mixed with plum and dark fruit red fruits. Juicy berries up front greet explosive fruits couples with talc and fine drying tannins which carry the fruit across the palate uninterrupted. Approachable now but will cellar for 6-8 years. This release is the first in screw cap and we have been very impressed by the performance of the wine under this closure. Vineyard: Metala Vineyards, Langhorne Creek, SA

 “Smooth, sumptuous and meaty with a minty confiture-like expression of blackberries, raspberries, blueberries and redcurrants handsomely backed by smoky vanilla and chocolate-like oak with spicy undertones of cinnamon. Backed by firmish, fine tannins, its plush, creamy palate delivers a ripe core of flavour with underlying nuances of bacon, dried herbs and menthol, finishing with persistent fruit, pepper and spice.”
