The Formby’s Run “M” Series wines consist of a Shiraz, Cabernet and Shiraz Cabernet blend. The "M" of course stands for Metala Vinyards. These value for money, fruit driven wines were made from fruit all sourced from our own Metala plantings. Having spent some time in older oak barriques the wines display lifted aromatics and a full mid palate. The tannins are round and soft and the flavours intense and generous. In 2007 we celebrated our 125th Anniversary of family ownership.

The 2005 Vintage enjoyed a long, even ripening period which has brought well developed eucalypt and blackberry flavours with smooth tannins to this Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine displays a rich ruby colour and a hint of liquorice on the nose.
Bronze Medal 2007 International Wine & Spirit Competition London 2007. Commended Decanter Wine Awards London 2007 This blend of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon is a wonderful example of grape varieties working in harmony. The Cabernet provides great structure on the palate while the Shiraz adds rich fruit body and velvety tannins.
The warm, even ripening period of the 2005 Vintage has brought out intense but balanced fruit character with soft tannins in this wine. It displays a deep mulberry colour with a rich blackcurrant and slightly chocolate aroma.
