From 2 separate Metala Vineyard plantings, both pre-1900. 15 months barrel ageing in 30% new French and 10% new American oak. Rich plum and ripe blackberry vibes to start, oak ageing providing obvious foundations but not dominating. This fruit has to be some kind of powerful. Full bodied to the max, thick with all the elements entwined. Traditional shiraz swooning seems like the necessary response - Tony Love, 2021 James Halliday Australian Wine Companion

Cedar, spice, plums and licorice on the nose. The flavours are rich, dark and juicy, there's plums, mulberries and spice and a little kick of menthol. Decent tannic grip and texture, generously flavoured and easy-drinking 01 MAY 2021 - Aaron Brasher, The Real Review
