2007 Brothers in Arms Shiraz
Deep crimson colour. Distinct regional aromas of menthol, peppermint and mocha coffee, biscuity/biscotti-like oak interwoven with blackberry and a touch of leather. Intense blackcurrant fruit and spice on the palate with super fine tannins that build with intensity and result in a long finish. Starts small and finishes big!

Deep garnet-purple, it reveals a pronounced nose of warm blackberries, blueberry pie, spice box, vanilla and pepper with whiffs of chocolate and menthol. At once full, fleshy and firm in the mouth, this concentrated wine has a good backbone of crisp, taut acid lending support and freshness through the long finish. Consider drinking it now to 2022. A testament to these older vines that can be remarkably consistent even during warmer drought years.
Wine Advocate #192, December 2010
From the famous Metala Vineyards at Langhorne Creek, this richly flavoured red shows blackberry, mint and mocha with some toasty oak & long fine tannins on the finish. It's just starting to show some bottle development but has years left in front of it. Try now or tuck away. "Top Shelf".
