2013 Side by Side Malbec
This Malbec is bursting with lifted floral aromas of rose petals and violets. A concentrated palate of satsuma plums, gentle mint and cassis fruits.
A fruit driven wine which is supported with hints of integrated French oak and plush tannins. We asked our Winemaker why he likes this wine.
Apparently ”It’s purple in a glass”.
Made for food and best enjoyed over the next few years.

Still in the Adams family style but really good flavours that underlie the fleshly top notes and raise it to more enjoyable heights. 93 and top end of the price scale at $27 but worth trying

Bright crimson-purple; has authentic varietal character in abundance, that spiced confit plum amalgam, or plum jam without being jammy, if that makes it clearer; the soft tannins also carry the length well.

Sometimes you need a sweeter red, like Friday nights, and Sat. Well, Sunday would be okay, or Monday…fruit up.

This 2012 Malbec is a beauty, reflecting why Malbec is grown more in Langhorne Creek than any other Australian wine region. Fruit for this one came off vines planted 12 years ago, the resultant wine a lovely floral and fragrant style, and which, as Liz says, is simply made for foods, chargrilled meats being particularly suited to it.
